Theatre fans can enjoy a classic stage show with a unique twist when To Kill a Mockingbird comes to the stage in Singapore later this month.

The literary favourite has been lent a new twist by imaginative playwright Goh Boon Teck, making for a stylised and unconventional show.

A cast of veterans and rising stars from the world of theatre and TV will play out the script at the Singapore National Library, with several performances taking place between February 26th and March 21st.

Taking a gritty and intense look at human behaviour and emotion, the show provides a hugely entertaining modern twist on Harper Lee's literary classic.

Tickets cost between SD35 and SD59, with guests invited to buy three and get one free for a limited time only.

First published in 1960, To Kill a Mockingbird is renowned for its warmth and humour in dealing with grave and hard-hitting issues such as rape and racial inequality.

The book became an instant success with readers and is still studied in schools across the world today.
