Visitors can witness Singapore come to life with an explosion of noise and sound when the Mosaic Music Festival 2010 gets under way in the city.

The annual event, which takes place at various locations across the Esplanade, will run from March 12th to 21st, providing a melting pot of various musical styles.

Artists from the world of jazz, electro pop, world music, hip-hop, soul and more will all arrive in the city during the ten-day festival.

Performances will take place at venues including the Esplanade Concert Hall, Theatre and Mosaic Studio, as well as the Heineken Music Club.

Some of the acts lined up to play at the 2010 event include Kool and the Gang and popular US rock group Dinosaur Jr, as well as several local artists.

In addition to the live performances, there will also be a series of masterclasses and workshops taking place throughout the festival, giving budding musicians the chance to learn from the pros.
