Fans of US rockers Green Day may be scrambling to book their stay at a Singapore hotel next year when the band gets set to perform live in the city.

American trio Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool and Mike Dernt will take to the stage at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on January 14th, treating fans to their energetic punk-rock style.

Fans lucky enough to secure tickets for the gig can expect to hear hits from the band's latest album 21st Century Breakdown, which hit record shops worldwide earlier this year.

The collection features successful singles such as Know Your Enemy and 21 Guns and reached number one on various album charts across the world.

Fans might also expect to hear earlier hits such as American Idiot, Hitchin' a Ride and Nice Guys Finish Last, as well as the hugely popular Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).

Since achieving mainstream success with its 1994 album Dookie, Green Day has gone on to record a succession of hits, selling more than 22 million records in the US alone.

The group has also received a string of accolades, including three Grammys for Best Alternative Album, Best Rock Album and Record of the Year.
