The largest indoor aviary in the Asia Pacific, the Jurong Bird Park houses the largest collection of Southeast Asian birds.  The beautifully landscaped park is home to over 8000 birds of 600 species. From parading penguins on a make-believe Antarctic beach to free-flying falcons in a simulated hunt, the various bird shows and enclosures of the park afford plenty to savour. Comprising many specimens of bird life from throughout the globe, the bird park offers visitors an educational yet entertaining experience.

The most spectacular feature is known to be the African Waterfall Aviary, where South American and African free-flying bird species are housed in a simulated tropical rainforest. A visit to Southeast Asian Birds Aviary where territorial species are kept is not to be missed.

The diverse selection of exhibits and shows at the park are constantly improved to include new species whilst educating visitors on the interconnection of birds, nature and humans. The highly entertaining Birds n Buddies Show presents a special performance featuring a large number of birds including talented species such as cockatoos and mimicking. Kings of the Skies Show also never fails to enthral visitors with its showcase of the most majestic birds reuniting in one arena. During the show one can witness a spectacular sight as the most ferocious flying predators of nature- hawks, eagles, vultures and falcons display their prowess and might.

Flightless birds such as emus, ostriches, cassowaries and rheas are kept at one corner of the bird park whilst at the World of Darkness, which is the premier nocturnal bird house in Asia; birds such as fish owls and night herons can be seen indulging in their daily routines.
