A historical riverside quay in Singapore, Clarke Quay lies near the mouth of the Singapore River. Foundations for prevailing Singapore were laid on the banks of Singapore River over 100 years ago. Initially the area was a humble fishing village before being transformed into the bustling seaport we see today. Subsequently traders, workers and fishermen from across Europe and Asia started flooding in, bringing cultural diversity and life resulting in a vibrant community.

Buzzing with excitement and activity, the waterfront dock presently plays host to a kaleidoscope of entertainment centres, restaurants, nightclubs and retail shops. Amidst the clusters of chic shop houses the lively market atmosphere of olden days comes back to life.

An eclectic fusion of traditional and modern, Clarke Quay’s rich heritage is still evident regardless of all the developments and transformations that has taken place. Amidst the charming backdrop of restored warehouses, one can relish the many delicacies of Mediterranean, Italian, Chinese and local cuisine. As the dusk sets in, the aptly located nightspots fill up with eager partygoers.

Explore the innumerable recreational opportunities available all over the stunning waterfront.  A course offered by Royal Selangor's School of Hard Knocks has been described as a unique experience. It is a place where one can learn how to produce pewter and even receive a certificate. The Royal Selangor Process Demonstration Tour provides an insight into the various processes applied in pewter making.

The G-Max Reverse Bungy is a must-try for the visitors to Clarke Quay in Singapore. The first and only one if its kind in Singapore, it is an open capsule catapulting you to a staggering height of 60 metres.
