The annual Huayi festival will once again be taking place in Singapore during the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Residents in Singapore hotels will be presented with the chance to witness a range of activities as part of the festival, which celebrates Singapore's multicultural heritage.

A range of different performing artists will be taking part in the festival, with an array of theatre, opera and music performances on offer for guests staying at Singapore hotels and the general public.

Organisers say they hope the Huayi festival will become an increasingly valued part of the Chinese New Year celebrations in Singapore.

This year's festival will run from February 19th - 28th and there will be a range of free events to go alongside the formal ticketed shows.

Indeed, there will be free music performances each night of the festival, the organisers say.

A number of other events will also be taking place in Singapore as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations.
