Travellers planning a New Year stay at a Singapore hotel can usher in 2010 in style at one of Asia's biggest beach parties.

The Siloso Beach Party at Sentosa promises to serve up a night to remember for revellers as the 1.2-kilometre stretch of sand is transformed into the ultimate party arena.

Pulsating dance music, live bands and plenty of fringe entertainment make the event one of the hottest New Year celebrations in Asia, with guests arriving from all over the region.

The event sees beach-side clubs including Coastes, Cafe Del Mar and Wave House Sentosa all open their doors to partygoers, offering music ranging from funk and rock 'n' roll to indie, dance and pop.

Celebrations run from 20:00 local time on New Year's Eve to 06:00 the following morning, with a spectacular pyrotechnics display at midnight to mark the arrival of 2010.

Guests who eventually grow tired of dancing to the non-stop music can sit back and enjoy a host of other activities, including dancers, fire-eaters and stilt-walkers.

However, one of the main attractions of the annual beach party remains the hallmark foam pool, which will once again be rolled out for an unforgettable night of celebrations.
