If you love animals but have already been to Singapore Zoo, then don't think you've seen it all - until you've been on a Singapore Night Safari.

The safari claims to be the world's first wildlife park specifically built to be visited after dark and is not just like an ordinary zoo at night.

Taking up around 40 hectares of forest, the safari allows visitors to experience the thrill of exploring a tropical jungle at night.

Subtle lighting is used to allow guests to observe over 1,000 nocturnal animals which include 100 different species, like the Malayan Tapir, the Red Dhole and the Asian Elephant.

Singapore is ideally placed for an attraction of this sort, as its sunset takes place around 19:30 and has cool nights with little rainfall.

The park is open from 19:30 until 00:00 daily, with the last admission at 23:00 and various shows on throughout the evening.

Admission is S$22 (£8.16) for adults and S$11 (£4.08) for children (three to 12-years-old).
