Chinese New Year Celebrations are currently being held in Singapore's Chinatown neighbourhood.

Honouring the Year of the Ox, the festivities are hosted at Singapore's hub of the local Chinese community until Sunday February 15th and are set to prove an exciting experience for guests staying at hotels in Singapore.

As part of the cultural festival, a wide range of exciting activities will be on offer, along with a selection of vibrant entertainment performances.

The whole region will be decorated and lit up as festive bazaars come alive, offering festival-goers the opportunity to purchase authentic Chinese cultural artefacts.

Nightly performances will take place after the sun goes down, while a smorgasbord of Chinese culinary delights such as yusheng (raw fish salad) will be on offer at various restaurants around Chinatown.

There will also be a massive celebration on the eve of the Chinese New Year (Sunday January 25th), where thousands of revellers will come together to usher in the beginning of a new era with song and dance.
