Fans of US rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs may be busy organising their Singapore hotel stay as the group prepares to play live in the city next year.

The Grammy-nominated rockers will take the stage at the Esplanade Theatre on the Bay on January 12th for what promises to be a highly-charged live performance.

Fans can expect to hear tracks from the band's latest album It's Blitz!, which was released in March 2009 to great critical acclaim.

The collection, which was also nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2009 Grammy Awards, featured hits such as Zero, Heads Will Roll and Shame and Fortune.

Formed in 2000, Yeah Yeah Yeahs is made up of vocalist and pianist Karen O, drummer Brian Chase and guitarist and keyboardist Nick Zinner.

The band first shot to fame with its 2003 album Fever to Tell, which sold more than 750,000 copies worldwide and spawned hits including Date With The Night, Maps and Y Control.
