Visitors could be in for a real treat next month when Singapore's Mosaic Music Festival kicks off, turning the city into a hotbed of culture and entertainment.

The event, which is scheduled to run from March 12th to 21st this year, will welcome a host of celebrated international artists to the region.

They will perform at various venues across Singapore, with the majority of the action centred on the Esplanade Theatre on the Bay.

Guests will be treated to music from all sorts of genres, ranging from jazz and blues to soul, electro clash, pop and hip-hop in an eclectic programme of events.

Among the artists due to play at the 2010 festival are Kool and the Gang, US rockers Dinosaur Jr and Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds.

In addition to the vast range of live performances, visitors will also get the chance to learn from the pros, with a series of instrument master classes held throughout the event to help budding musicians hone their skills.
