Hip-hop artist Kanye West is set to perform in Singapore next week as part of his Glow in the Dark tour, organisers have confirmed.

The show, which was previously scheduled to take place on September 19th, will now be performed on Wednesday October 29th at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Acclaimed by critics and fans alike, the US-based rapper and producer will be performing for the very first time in Singapore as part of his successful tour, which is the sixth highest grossing tour in the world this year and has reportedly been attended by more than half a million people.

West has hired noted choreographer and director Jamie King - noted for his work with Madonna - to orchestrate the tour's performances. King is also known for his work with artists such as Prince, Shakira, Britney Spears and Mariah Carey.

Since his debut album The College Dropout in 2004, West has achieved major success with follow-up releases Late Registration in 2005 and Graduation in 2007.
