International Energy Week kicks off in Singapore next month, giving those who are conscious of environmental issues the chance to exchange ideas.

The event, which is the first of its kind in Singapore, will take place between November 3rd and 7th and is comprised of a series of exhibitions, conferences, seminars and talks aimed at developing energy strategies for the future.

Events will take place all over the city in venues such as the International Conference Centre, the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre and various hotels.

The pinnacle of International Energy Week will be the Singapore Energy Conference, which will take place at Raffles City Conference Centre on November 4th and 5th.

There will be a distinguished line up of keynote speakers including Mr A Iswaran, Singapore's senior minister of state for Trade and Industry and Malcolm Wicks, minister for energy in the UK.

Khoo Chin Hean, chief executive of the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, said: "The International Energy Week seeks to bring together people from different countries and expertise. It is a cauldron to boil issues and distil ideas."
