News|Singapore River Festival 2010The Singapore River Festival, which takes place in June every year, sees the region come to life with a whole host of events and activities taking place on and along the river. From Boat Quay and Empress Place to Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay, every spot along the water is bursting with entertainment and attractions. Visitors can revel in the party atmosphere that grips the entire city, enjoying activities such as bumboat parades, live music and aerial shows taking place on the river banks each night. The ten-day festival also includes a specially-commissioned romantic musical that is staged by the side of the water every evening, while themed parties and a top nightlife experience ensure the celebrations continue well into the night. Despite only being staged for the first time in 2008, the River Festival has proved hugely popular with both locals and guests, creating a buzz around the city that makes it a great time to visit.
