People planning a stay in a Singapore hotel next summer can catch a one-off open-air performance by some of the region's most talented dancers.

The Singapore Dance Theatre will present its annual Ballet Under the Stars event in Fort Canning Park, serving up an evening of charm and entertainment for all the family.

Visitors can take along their own picnics and enjoy a bite to eat while watching short shows that demonstrate an impressive mix of classical and contemporary dance choreography.

In 2009, one of the highlights of the show proved to be an excerpt from Act Three of Sleeping Beauty, which mesmerised viewers both young and old.

Although next year's line-up is yet to be announced, guests can expect something similarly impressive from the talented dance troupe.

However, the action is not confined to the stage alone, with plenty of fringe activities such as face painting and glitter tattooing to keep both children and adults occupied.
